RAQ Agreement Approved. What's next?

Our Union has been by your side during the negotiations to improve your rights at Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ). The RAQ Limited Enterprise Agreement 2023 has now been approved by the Fair Work Commission.

Expression of interest for two union delegates

As a union we intend on building on the hard work of our delegates through the EA negotiations. Our union is committed to having workplace delegates to represent members in the workplace.

We are seeking two more RAQ union members to become workplace delegates. At least one of these roles will be for a union member in regional Queensland.

The role of a delegate can vary depending on your skills and interests. Some examples of union delegate responsibilities include holding workplace meetings and information sessions, representing members, participating in the consultative committee with management and promoting union campaigns in the workplace. Only through your participation can our Union grow in scope and influence in your workplace.

Complete the form and return it to your union organiser Imogen Smith [email protected] or please get in touch if you have any questions.

5% wage increase for Social and Community Service Workers

As always, our Union is hard at work campaigning for a decent wage increase through the Annual Award Review. Given that RAQ has committed to keeping wages 0.5% above the Award, a 5% national increase for the industry would see your wages increase by 5.5% in July. Unions are the only voice calling for a 5% wage increase to address the ever-increasing cost of living pressures. Your participation, and that of your colleagues, is key to winning wage increases. Please sign the petition and share the link with your colleagues.
