Endeavour - First JCC Meeting

This week your Union representatives attended the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) meeting with Endeavour representatives including your CEO.

The purpose of the JCC meetings are to discuss a number of issues that prevented us reaching agreement in the negotiations for a new Agreement.

At this first meeting we have agreed to discuss and work together on reaching possible solutions to the following:

  • Wages for Industrie’s workers. Our union is seeking to address what we believe to be a wages parity issue.
  • Consultation particularly on roster changes that require 2/3rds agreement prior to implementation. Our union is seeking to ensure workers have a say on roster changes that impact them and that Endeavour is consistent in their management of consultation.
  • Address how Meal Breaks are managed and paid when not taken, this is specifically an issue in Residential and Lifestyle and Learning settings. Our union is seeking that workers have the ability to take a break free from work and when that does not occur they are appropriately paid.

We will keep members updated as the discussions progress.

Our union is committed to working with Endeavour and the success of these discussions will depend on several things, including member involvement and action. Your voice can make a difference! You can actively participate, share your views and show your support by:
