Council has Made a Pay Offer - What do You Think?

Your Services Union team met again with North Burnett Regional Council last week to continue negotiations, and following our report-back on Thursday 11 June, it’s now time for us to hear from you.

Council has put forward the following financial offer:

Base Rates of Pay and Above Award (Parity) Payments

  • 3.5% increase in Year 1 (2026)
  • 3.5% increase in Year 2 (2027)
  • 3.0% increase in Year 3 (2028)


Annualised Allowance Payment

  • 5.0% increase in Year 1 (2026)
  • No further increases in Years 2 or 3

Bargaining isn’t just about wages. Council is also proposing changes that could impact your conditions, including:

  • Funding for uniforms
  • removal of the death benefit
  • removal of the annual personal leave bonus

We need your feedback to shape our next move at the table.
