Unpaid Placements - National Day of Actions

The fight for paid placements for all community service students is not over.

The situation is causing dropout rates to increase, with over 1 in 5 studying a Community Service degree withdrawing from study due to financial stress.

On Tuesday 28 November there will be a National Day of Action. On this day there will be a rally at NSW Parliament and lots of online action to join.

We are demanding:
  • Students are paid at the minimum industry rate
  • Organisations to be funded to pay students at the minimum industry rate
  • Employment relationships between organisations and students

Join the action by sharing this post . And sharing a selfie with this sign  and the hashtag #endunpaidplacements.

No one should have to choose between feeding their families or not to complete their studies.

We need your voice to help advocate for a diverse and well-trained workforce.
