Union Win! 5.75% Increase to Award Rates Starts 1 July 2023

Members of The Services Union can hold their head high knowing they campaigned to improve Award wages, and won!

As of 1 July 2023, all those working under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 will receive a pay rise of 5.75%.

Workers in the Social, Community and Disability Services Industry work tirelessly supporting others, some who are the among the most vulnerable within our communities. This increase to wages goes someway to meet the increasing costs of living which will be welcomed by many. The increase also ensures that this vital work continues to be valued!

• Social and Community Services Employees  

• Crisis Accommodation Employees  

• Family Day Care Employees  

Members working under the Labour Market Assistance Industry Award 2010 also receive this pay increase and rates as of 1 July 2023 can be viewed here .

These wins don’t just happen! Members continued this year to call for their worth at work to be recognised, campaigning for a substantive pay increase to ease cost of living pressures. If it wasn’t for Union Members, this win just would not have happened!
