Tell us your concerns about cost of living and workload at Mount Isa City Council

Members of The Services Union know we’re by your side for as long as it takes to negotiate a new Certified Agreement (CA) at Mount Isa City Council. We were scheduled to resume CA discussions tomorrow, but the CEO is currently on leave so the next meeting will occur on Thursday 27 April.

In the meantime, our Union is keen to hear from you about cost of living pressures and workload issues. We know that money doesn’t always fix everything, but a strong pay outcome in your new CA will go some way to address the concerns of existing staff and support better attraction and retention to mitigate against workload concerns.

Our Workload and Cost of Living Survey gives you an opportunity to provide some specific details. We’ve sent all members a link to the online survey – if you have not yet received your link, please get in touch as soon as possible so you can complete the survey by 5pm on Friday 14 April 2023.

All individual responses will be kept strictly confidential.

As your ally in the workplace, we are here to provide opportunities for members to have a say on your pay and conditions. If you work with someone who is not yet a member, remind them that being part of our Union provides those opportunities. Joining is easy online.
