TSU attends EQL pre-bargaining meeting

The Services Union along with other key unions met with Energy Queensland on 23 August 2023 to discuss the upcoming renegotiation of the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement (‘the Agreement’).

During the discussions, our Union made clear to Energy Queensland that it is absolutely imperative that we robustly improve conditions in the Agreement to ensure that:

  1. Our members receive a meaningful increase in their wages to not only ensure their pay is competitive in the market, but to place them amongst the best paid energy workers in the country;

  2. Our long-standing members, who are in the process of transitioning to retirement, are supported and receive additional benefits that will assist them in that transition;

  3. Energy Queensland is a market leader with respect to its conditions around work life balance and flexibility; and

  4. Energy Queensland attracts and retains workers to meet the requirements of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan.

Our log of claims, which was endorsed by our members during meetings held over the course of the past month, puts forward claims that will achieve these goals and these were summarily discussed with the business.

The Services Union is by your side during these negotiations and will push for the outcomes you deserve.

If you have not yet signed up as a member of our Union and this message has been shared with you, you can join here to ensure the best outcomes are achieved during these negotiations!
