Bargaining continues at Sunshine Coast Council

Members of It’s time demand the pay rise you deserve at Sunshine Coast Council! The Services Union is by your side to make it happen. We’ve been telling the Council for months that its undercooked pay proposals and demands that you trade away conditions are not going to cut it. Now’s the time for you to reinforce that message.

As advised on Wednesday 28 June, your protected action ballot is now open and you can vote until 5:00pm this Friday 7 July. All members should have received an email with a personalised link to the online ballot. If you have not received your link, please advise us as soon as possible. In order to preserve the integrity of the ballot, please do not forward your link.

This is your chance to show that you are serious about deserving a pay increase that adequately deals with the cost-of-living crisis on the Coast and the fact that your salary has not kept pace.

If you have any questions, please contact your bargaining committee Workplace Delegates Chris Mehonoshen, Davina Allanson and Jenelle Harrap, or your organiser Jason Shepherd. Members know that our Union is the only thing standing between you and an inferior Agreement that will further devalue your pay. If you work with someone who is not yet a member and wants a better deal, remind them that joining is easy online.
