Still time to have your say at City of Gold Coast!

The Services Union met with City of Gold Coast last week to commence negotiations for your new Certified Agreement (CA). We’re not in for an easy road given the Council’s proposed pay offer of 11% over three years clearly doesn’t recognise the fact that underlying inflation still sits at 5.9% nationally. The Council has also proposed removing all Local Area Agreements and adopting fortnightly pays.

It is incumbent upon all of us to press for a better outcome. Our first step is to finalise our log of claims before the next meeting. If you haven’t already taken our log of claims survey, the good news is that there is still time do so. We’ve extended the deadline to 5pm on Tuesday 19 September and re-sent the link to all members.
