Still no agreement at South Burnett Regional Council

As your ally in the workplace, The Services Union took the stalled negotiations for your new Certified Agreement (CA) at South Burnett Regional Council to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) yesterday. While the matter did not resolve, some useful discussions occurred under the guidance of Industrial Commissioner Knight.

The Council is now considering its position and we will know if there is any prospect of securing the CA in the next few days so stay tuned!!

Our Union made it clear that we are happy to take the matter to a Full Bench hearing in the QIRC if that is what it takes to get the wage increase that the Council originally offered to you, which is the wage increase that we reached an in-principle agreement on.
