Seqwater date claimer: Let’s discuss your new Enterprise Agreement

The Services Union and our Single Bargaining Unit colleagues met with Seqwater this morning for some final discussions about your new Staff Enterprise Agreement. We now believe we have a proposal worthy of members’ consideration, and we’re ready to begin member consultation.

Seqwater has agreed to our request for a paid-time members’ meeting at 11am next Tuesday 10 October. We’ll hold the meeting online via Teams to ensure members from all corners of Seqwater’s considerable geographic footprint can participate. Please put the time and date into your calendar and stay tuned for a further update with login details early next week.

Bargaining is generally a long and complex process, and it’s vital that we get it right, particularly when it comes to achieving the maximum pay increase available under the GOC Wages Policy. Our members will shape our Union’s position on allowing the proposal to go to a staff ballot. If you work with someone who is not yet a member, joining is easy online at www.theservicesunion.com.au/join. We look forward to catching up with you on Tuesday. In the meantime, refer any questions to your Workplace Delegate Martin Leung or to Lead Organiser Ben Jones.
