After patiently waiting a long time the Brisbane City Council Determination 2023 has been issued. This means that from Wednesday 12 July EBA9 conditions will be replaced. Our Union was able to negotiate administrative increases of $3000 to your base rate of pay and an additional 3%. The Determination also delivers improvements to parental leave (which have already been implemented administratively) and improvements to consultation requirements. This is a great outcome and reflects our determination to get you the wages and conditions that you deserve! The Determination expires on 7 October, 2024 and will give us breathing room allowing us to commence negotiations for your next EBA from April 2024.
