Moreton Bay Regional Council - We're at the final hurdle

Discussions between Moreton Bay Regional Council and The Services Union are continuing on resolution of any five in seven agreements.

Apologies to all of you who are anxiously awaiting an outcome and some back pay following our fantastic victory in relation to the any five in seven agreement dispute.

There are some technical issues arising out of the judgment which means that the resolution is not straight forward. Ultimately if necessary we can return the matter to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission to settle the order, but we would prefer to resolve the outstanding issues by agreement if possible.

When we do reach a point where there is something for you to consider we will call a workplace meeting and explain the issues that we have been grappling with and what the solution is.

It will not be much longer before this happens!
