Getting it done at Redland City Council

Following this morning’s update, The Services Union has today applied to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) for assistance in making a new Certified Agreement (CA) with Redland City Council. In the meantime, we finally received the letter the CEO referred to in his message to staff yesterday. However, there was nothing in the CEO’s letter to indicate that either he or the Council have any sort of grip on the current economic situation.

We have been telling the Council for months that you deserve a pay increase which meaningfully addresses the cost of living and recognises the productivity you have delivered for your Council and community over the life of the current CA. Now it’s time to tell the QIRC and make it happen.

Our Union will be by your side for as long as it takes to get it done. If you work with someone who wants a better deal and is not yet a member, remind them that joining is quick and easy online.
