CPL- Update on terminating the Agreement

On Tuesday 26 July 2022 members came together to discuss CPL’s proposal to terminate the expired Cerebral Palsy League Enterprise Agreement 2009 (‘the Agreement’).

Members sought additional information about the impact of terminating the Agreement specifically in relation to:

  • Mylestone Classification;

  • Administration Employees Award Coverage;

  • Loss of additional annual leave for Allied Health employees in a tough labour market;

  • Cessation of salary packaging arrangements after 12 months; and

  • Loss of additional carer’s leave, birthday leave and community service leave.

As members are aware we have for some time been seeking confirmation from CPL on a number of these items which has now been provided. We encourage members to click here to consider the information regarding these points. If members have questions specific to their situation we encourage them to make contact with Services Connect on the details below.

What’s next?

Terminating the Agreement will impact each person differently and there will be loss of entitlement for some employees however our overall assessment is that the majority of employees will be better off under the Award.

CPL has made an application to terminate the Agreement and we are seeking your views about this application. If the majority of members who respond agree to terminate the Agreement, we will notify CPL and the Fair Work Commission of our support. If the majority of members who participate do not agree with terminating the Agreement then we will assess our options and advise accordingly.

Please complete the survey and have your say by Friday 23 September 2022.
