Apple's Bizarre New Actions to Push Their NEA

Apple is resorting to bizarre new actions that one worker described as “cult-like” to push their company National Enterprise Agreement (NEA).

Staff have told the Australian Services Union that the Apple Daily Download has deteriorated into what one Apple Genius Bar worker described as a “knee-jerk response to the recent bargaining meeting” between the union and the company.

“Management are using daily briefings (Downloads) which are meant to prepare the team for the day...to convince [our] team to vote for an agreement they couldn’t have input into” an Apple staff member explained.

But Apple employees are not fooled by the bizarre new moves.

“I think it’s misleading to spruik benefits that could be taken away at any time... If Apple doesn’t intend to take them away, why not put them in an agreement?” explained another staff member.

The Australian Services Union will be working with our members at Apple to ensure the new NEA reflects the interests of staff – so it is not just an Agreement that suits the company.

This is your agreement and your chance to be heard.
