Somerset Members to Decide Next Steps

Local Authorities July 31, 2019

The Services Union’s Secretary Neil Henderson is convening a lunchtime meeting of Somerset Regional Council indoor and supervisory staff at Esk next Thursday 8 August to discuss options for re-commencing Stream A Award Certified Agreement (CA) negotiations.

Attendees will also receive an update on our members’ bargaining progress at other Councils where inequitable two-tier wages have been a factor, so it is vital that you attend this meeting to hear the latest.

Date: Thursday 8 August 2019

Location: Park across Heap St from Esk Library carpark

Time: 12.30pm – 1.00pm

If you are unable to attend but would like an update on what was discussed, then please contact Organiser Craig Dunn on craig.dunn@theservicesunion.com.au. Craig will also be in touch with Kilcoy and Lowood members to make alternative meeting arrangements.

Encourage your colleagues to attend with you. The meeting is open to all Stream A staff, but only members will have input into our next steps towards a new CA. We’ve finalised over 30 new agreements state-wide, and we know that strong membership gets results. Joining is easy at www.theservicesunion.com.au.
