Mackay Regional Council Update – Administrative Pay Increase
The Services Union is acutely aware of how long the bargaining process is taking with Mackay Regional Council and our bargaining team are working tirelessly to deliver the wage increases and improvements to conditions that you deserve.
Mackay Regional Council (MRC) has announced it will be making an administrative pay increase to staff as follows:
- $250 increase to base salary for all employees employed under the Stream B & Stream C Awards
- Plus 1% increase for all employees
- Both back paid to 1 July 2020.
The back pay appears to have been processed this week.
While The Services Union applauds MRC’s decision to apply an administrative increase it needs to be understood by our members that is not a final agreed negotiating outcome from the ongoing Certified Agreement negotiations. We will continue pursuing better wage increases at the bargaining table.
