Brisbane City Council – Here’s to a very flexi Christmas!
Members of The Services Union at Brisbane City Council have every right to expect a problem-free approach to flex time. That’s why we’ve asked the Council for assurances that you and your colleagues should not be experiencing any problems either in relation to accruing or accessing flex time or having discussions with your supervisor about accruing additional flex to cover the Christmas break. The Council assures us that managers are across the requirements of the current EBA (EBA9) in relation to accrual of additional flex for use during the closedown where there is genuine work available.
There should also be no impediment to usual flex time accrual and use.
There is no change to the flex time rules in relation to working from home.
Members should alert us – via your Workplace Delegate – to any problems experienced with flex time access and accrual, including Christmas break accrual, so that we can promptly raise them with the Council.
You have worked hard to build up these conditions and we are with you every step of the way to maintain them.
If you know someone who wants a break over Christmas but is not in the Union, remind them there is never a better time to join. It’s easy at www.theservicesunion.com.au/member-information/join/join-now.
