Bargaining Commences at Charters Towers Regional Council
We know you work hard to provide services to your local community at Charters Towers. That is why The Services Union is by your side as we seek to negotiate decent wages and conditions for our members.
Your Union Representatives met with Council yesterday to commence negotiations for your new Collective Agreement where we exchanged Logs of Claims with management. Please click this link to review our Log of Claims as provided to Council.
Council’s claim is to seek a four-year rollover of the current agreement with the following pay offer:
|Term||Percentage Increase||Effective Date|
|Year 1||0%||1 July 2021|
|Year 2||1%||1 July 2022|
|Year 3||1.5%||1 July 2023|
|Year 4||2%||1 July 2024|
We have our own opinion of the proposed pay offer but we need to hear yours before we provide a response to Council at the next negotiation meeting on the 10th June 2021.
We have requested a one-hour paid time meeting with members to take place at the Arthur Titley Centre at 1.30pm on Thursday 20th May. We ask you to put a placeholder on your calendar for this meeting and we will notify you as soon as we have received confirmation from Council. We will also extend an invitation to Stream A staff who are not members to attend if they so wish.
If you have any further questions, please contact either your Workplace Delegates (David Ross, Paul Weston or Selina Pitt) or your Services Union Organiser, Glenn Desmond on 0427 975 806 or email email@example.com
