COVID-19 UPDATE FROM THE SERVICES UNION
In this very unprecedented time, The Services Union will always be by the side of its members.
With the latest COVID-19 Media Statement for greater Brisbane from Premier Palaszczuk it’s important for our members to have the most up to date information.
Until 1am, 22 January 2021 in our workplaces and community, we must carry masks with us at all times and they must be worn in indoor places when people cannot socially distance.
This will impact many of our workplaces in particular libraries and those members working with public transport.
Our workplaces are also required to provide 4sqm per 1 person for indoor venues and 2sqm per 1 person for outdoors.
Restrictions on visits to hospitals, aged care, disability accommodation and prisons remain.
Remember, that you may have the right to request alternative work, be redeployed or work from home, and some workplaces offer paid pandemic leave if you are affected by these restrictions.
If your work was impacted by the COVID-19 restrictions in the greater Brisbane region over the weekend or you are affected by any of these new restrictions at work in the coming weeks and require support from our union office please contact us at
Services Connect on 3844 5300.
