Did you know?
The ASU Career Launchpad has a training opportunities and courses tailor made for our members in Social and Community Services.
ASU members told us they that want MORE training opportunities and employers are not offering enough.
That’s why together with the ASU’s Australian College of Community and Disability Practitioners (ACCDP) we’re bringing you an exclusive series of courses run by industry professionals. We’ll kick things off by covering a major workplace issue: Vicarious Trauma (VT).
Vicarious trauma (VT) is a workplace health and safety issue. Many workers in our sector are affected through continuous exposure to violence and the experiences of victims of trauma and violence in their work. This session will look at how VT can impact the work of frontline workers and how we can support our professional practice workers who experience VT.
We will also take a look at why we need to defend the voice of community services through campaigning and advocacy.
