EQL DEBBs Report Back with Jorge Salles

Energy October 13, 2021

Dear Members,

Well, my new role as representative for you into the DEBBs project, has not been without its challenges.  For those of you that missed the previous correspondence, I have been taken offline from my regular role as an EQL Digital Project Manager to concentrate on the consultation and engagement between the TSU and the DEBBs portfolio.

I must say it has been a steep learning curve for me and I am extremely thankful for the assistance and engagement from our members around the State, who have taken the time to build my knowledge in their individual areas of expertise, as well as provide important feedback about their issues and concerns relating to the DEBBs projects.

Last month, I travelled to Townsville, Rockhampton, and Cairns to meet with members with regards to their concerns.  This was very worthwhile and as a result, we have presented the DEBBs Project with a list of over 30 issues to which they now have to officially respond to. This is only the start and I will be following up with them to ensure they supply responses in a timely manner.

These issues have come from the following projects/streams:

  • UDMS
  • UGIS
  • AWM
  • Payroll

Please let me know if there are any issues, concerns, or clarification which you need and are not getting responses for.  To make it easier for me, could you please itemise each issue with:

  • A description of the issue (not too long but with enough detail for them to respond);
  • Any risks that you perceive with not doing it or with the way they are currently doing it.

Please feel free to contact me at any time on Jorge.salles@energyq.com.au or 0436 331 238.

As always, the Services Union is by your side, every step of the way.

If you have a colleague who is not a member of the Union but is interested in the DEBBs project, send them the below link and ask them to join:
