The Services Union Women’s Committee, in partnership with Energy Super, are offering our women members the opportunity to attend a 2-hour educational session on superannuation which will focus on financial literacy and provide an opportunity to receive an update on our Making Super Work for Women campaign.
Less than half of Australians know what their superannuation balances are despite having almost 10% of each pay directed into their account.
Lack of financial literacy is often blamed on the system being ‘difficult to understand’. This not only brews a fatalistic view of superannuation, but it also directly hampers investment growth, which in turn leads to inadequate retirement savings.
Making effective financial decisions about superannuation options is manageable with even a basic level of financial training.
To register your attendance at one of the following sessions, please click on the relevant registration link below. A light lunch will be provided for attendees. Registrations are limited, so please RSVP to secure your spot.
