Mackay Regional Council members deliver the goods! 

Members of The Services Union at Mackay Regional Council know that we are by your side for as long as it takes to secure your wages and conditions.

Late yesterday, the Full Bench of the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission published its Mackay Regional Council Determination 2022 which now replaces your previous Certified Agreement (CA). It’s a great result and all members can be proud of helping to make it happen.

The Determination locks in core conditions such as No Forced Redundancies, career development and measures to improve mental health outcomes.

Significantly, the Determination confirms the Full Bench’s agreement with our Union’s view that there should be no difference in pay increases across the workforce. A 2.5% increase will apply to all Award streams from 1 July of 2022 and 2023.

We congratulate all members – including those who joined throughout the bargaining process – on delivering such a great outcome. If you work with someone who is not yet a member, remind them of what we have achieved, and encourage them to join us to contribute to the implementation of your new working conditions.
